Do not buy this cooktop. This product is defective. The build quality is poor. Test it in the store before buying it: the temperature control knobs are not firmly secured to their shafts. The shafts themselves are loose. The base of one of the shafts broke, making one of the burners completely unusable. Finally, the cast-iron griddle that is offered as a promotional gift with the purchase of the cooktop is never provided because the process on Maytag is unusable. I strongly recommend avoiding this product.

The reversible griddle that was supposed to be included with the item (as advertised in the description) was, in fact, not included. I have been getting the runaround trying to get the griddle. I registered the product but was told I needed to go back to Lowe's where I purchased the cooktop and they were supposed to give me one. Lowe's wasn't aware of that and they told me I had to contact Maytag to get my griddle. This is beyond ridiculous!! As I write this review I've been in the Maytag customer service queue for over 25 minutes waiting to speak to someone about this. The cooktop is decent and I bought this particular one because of the ability to use a griddle on 2 burners plus bridge. I'm considering returning it and purchasing a different brand of cooktop. Do better Maytag/Whirlpool.

Delivery issues and poor order completion

We ordered this peoduct on March 12, 2025. The original delivery date was April 1. On March 28, the delivery date was changed to April 10. On April 4, the delivery date was changed to April 15. On April 11, the delivery date was changed to May 22. Our kitchen remodel was completed during the month of April, without the cooktop that was originally expected on April 1. The resons for all of the rescheduled dates was "delivery issues." Now that we have the cooktop, we are happy with it, but the griddle that was part of the order is still not available and we will have to wait for another email letting us know when it is. Upon receiving that email, we will be able to place another order for that griddle at no cost. It will not, according to an email from Maytag, be shipped to me as part of the original order.

I could not be more disappointed with the purchase of this stovetop. The ad states "Cooktop with Reversible Grill and Griddle" yet it came with no such griddle. We contacted the seller who advised us we need to register the product and then we can request the griddle. This is complete bull. I registered the stovetop and see nothing about how to get the griddle. We chose this model specifically for this feature but did not get it. I would very much like someone to remove it from my home and refund my money.

Highly dissatisfied with the purchase of this stove top as the ad shows it comes with a griddle plate and we rec'd no griddle plate with our shipment. We called the store we purchased it from and were told we had to register the stove top and then we'd be sent the griddle plate. That was 100% bad info as I did register it and I do not see anywhere that I can request the griddle plate. We chose this stove top because it had that griddle plate and now we don't have it. Would love to make the people come back and uninstall this stove top since we did not get what we paid for. I did not receive my included griddle attachment. Customer Service said there is two different promos for the included griddle. 1 were the stove top came with it (which is the one i bought) and a second one that you have to register the stove top and will receive an email on how to get the griddle shipped to you. since I already registered the product, I was told I would have to wait until I receive an email for the registration department and there was nothing she could do.

The left lower heating element is dislocated

My cooktop was installed only recently, so I had only limited time to use it. The first time I attempted to use the left lower burner - part of the double burner - I noticed that the actual heating element was at least 4 inches outside of the indicated area (circle). I don't know if it affects the efficiency of the burner, but it looks very strange and it requires moving and centering the pot once the element turns red. I will have to check the upper left burner to see if it is acting the same.

Ordered from Lowes.com when finally picked up and tried to install it realized that the box was previously open, missing packing material, missing mounting brackets, missing advertised grill/griddle. Called lowes customer service, they said since you ordered store pick up, you need to go to the store. Went to the store, customer service there said it was a "special order" I should contact manufacturer. Called maytag customer service, spend an hour on hold to be transferred to parts department, more hold time with them, to find out that "missing parts" should be ordered through customer service.

The install was pretty easy. Had to cut out the counter about 1/2 inch from my previous cooktop. But no biggie. It heats up fast. Feels like almost instantly. Now I™€™m coming from a 1982 coil cooktop. So everything is better. The pans stay even so sauces and oil stay in the center. I really love the bridge burners and the griddle/grill that came with it. Honestly that™€™s what sold me on it. Plus, it™€™s a Maytag. Made in the USA.

The electric cooktop works wonderfully. The heat output is much higher and more variable than on the cooktop that was in the kitchen when we bought the house. The only improvement that I would recommend is that the controls on the cooktop be labelled a little larger and in brighter colors so that it would be easier to identify which knob controls which element. The back elements on a cooktop are in a dark part of the counter where even the light on the range hood is faint.

The electric cooktop has great performance. It provides adjustable power from a simmer to a boil. The only improvement I would recommend would be to simplify the controls. Make it easier to understand how the "bridge" element works, and make the markings (labels?) around the knobs easier to read against the black glass of the cooktop. Perhaps a brighter color for the labels might work.

The performance of this electric cooktop is excellent. All the elements provide an amount of heat that is suitable from a simmer to a boil. The only improvements that I would recommend would be to simplify the controls. Make the use of the bridge element easier to understand, and make the control labels around the knobs easier to see against the black background of the glass. A brighter color for the labels might help.

I bought and had this installed in a kitchen renovation about a month ago. So far I love it! The only issue I have is that the dial writing is a little hard to read for these older eyes! It could be a bit bolder. I love the griddle as it is one reason I chose this, but it does take a while to heat up and doesn't heat all the way to the edges.

I bought this cooktop during a kitchen remodel. The bridge element including the flip griddle was an added bonus. We love the ease of coking since the elements keep a steady heat and the light to remind us if it™€™s still hot. A reminder about the griddle: when it heats up, the silicone strips will expand and possibly pop out of their seating. Keep an eye on them. We bought induction plates so we didn™€™t have to get new cookware. Love the cooktop!

Installed a month ago. Plus: The griddle is really nice feature. Lots of pancakes and hambergers. The dual ring elements make it easy to find a size tha fits a pot or pan. Minus: Our original Maytag glasstop had controls that indicated high, medium high, medium, low. This unit uses numbers and marks to use setting heat. Probably because the multi element combinations. It will take a lot of cooking to learn what settings to use, along with which elements to us. Plus: The elements respond quickly to control changes.

We have only had the cooktop for two weeks but so far it has worked great, the cleaning of it hasn™€™t been to bad which my wife was worried about. Was so glad to get rid of the old element style cooktop that always had problems with elements making contact and not sitting level when cooking. We haven™€™t tried out the griddle bridge as of yet but checked out how it works so I™€™m sure it will work great.

We purchased this appliance in February 2022 and following delivery to the dealer it was installed in early May. Right from the get go the upper left burner and bridge element did not function at all. Replacement part has been received and we are awaiting the install. Rather disappointing in a new appliance at this price point.

I really do not like the nobs as you can not clean properly but I had no choice. Was concerned that I would not use the grill but I love it. Have used three times™€¦.. BUT rubber is coming off. Very disappointed. What can I do?

The heating takes a while to get use to.

The way the burners keep going on and off while cooking seems odd to me. It takes a while to get use to how this works. If I had to choose a cooktop over again, I wouldn't choose this one.

Great features!

I love this cooktop. It is very attractive, easy to clean, and I like the configuration of the burners. I love the fact that there is a bridge between one of the front and back burners and it comes with a very good quality griddle to use when you combine them. However we have not used this feature yet but look forward to it! The price was very reasonable for a Maytag quality appliance!

I love my new stovetop now that it fits in the hole,the countertop man had to come back and cut the hole a little bit bigger. Very easy to keep clean and cooks evenly all around the pot.

Heats in seconds.

This stovetop heats very quickly, but the way it heats is a little confusing; the regular size is connected to the outer rim and for a while I wasn't sure how the knob adjustment worked worked with the outer part. Also, the first time I used the stovetop, there was a mar that won't go away from the heated glass top. I thought it was suppose to stay looking clean, so I'm a little disappointed for the price.

J'ai achetà cet article de 30 pouces par internet pensant que çca entrait dans une armoire de 30po, surtout que les spec des dimensions d'installations ne sont pas disponible, j'ai dÃballà jetà ma boite et au moment de l'installation oops ça n'entre pas dans une armoire de 30 po standard, maintenant je ne peux pas retourner ma plaque et difficile d'en choisir une autre sur internet sans les spec d'installation....
